My first month as a 27 year old

Today marks a month into my 27th year. Yes. It’s been a while since I wrote in this blog and a lot has happened.

I mean A LOT!!!!!

I spent  an intensive three weeks at John Hopkins teaching high school students about white privilege while I fantasized about and agonized over my hot colleague (I’ll talk about him in my upcoming blog about men, dating, sexism, feminism, aging and body image. Stay tuned.)

I got the job offer for Boston! Woohoo! My prayers have been answered. Now, I have a new problem. I have another organization interested in me. I’m actually in DC for a second interview. Crossed fingers.

I don’t know what I’m going to do. The job in Boston pays only $40,000 but I already accepted the position. I’m supposed to start August 10th. However, depending on the outcome of the D.C. interview, I may have to rescind my acceptance. That is going to be hard and I’ll feel so bad. What I do like about D.C. is that a  homegirl of mine lives there. I’m actually staying at her place for the weekend. That’s pretty comforting. In addition, I had a college internship in D.C . so I’m familiar with the area.  In Boston, I have friends of friends and one cousin that I am not close with and I’ve never spent time there.

There are pros and cons to both so I’m really going need God’s guidance.

Lord, please help me!

Esther
