I think I’m going to get a passport this month and take a trip to Bermuda. I keep seeing ads for $200 flight tickets.

Hey, why not? I have all the time in the world again.

So it’s official. My boss decided to let me go because I didn’t give a firm enough commitment for the fall semester. I’m not surprised. He had a history of not valuing his employees. Plus, I wasn’t particularly fond of the place.

So now, I have faith, time and a little savings to my name. And I’m going to make the best of it.

I already started. Last week I went to Martha’s Vineyard, I went bike riding, dancing and swimming. I visited these cute colorful famous cottages and joked around with friends.

That’s my unemployed life so far. Of course, I’m applying for work, networking and volunteering. But I’m going to try to be grateful for the time off and learn to trust the process.
